BusinessWeek’s Return to Growth

Yesterday’s BusinessWeek European Leadership Forum was the latest in a series of annual events designed to bring delegates face to face with influential business leaders and policymakers. The European Leadership Forum brought together nearly 200 executives from across Europe to share insights and talk about the trends, strategies and issues relevant to both European and global markets.
The overriding theme was one of encouraging growth, whether that be through accountability and sustainable business practices, innovation and innovative leadership, a revisiting of how the global banking system operates and is regulated, looking to the next generation of technologies that might stimulate this growth and considering positive stories within the emerging global markets.
As official PR partners of the event, the team led by Elizabeth Elegant were deeply involved in the shaping of this year’s event: helping shape the agenda, inviting speakers and delegates, moderating discussions, leading panels, and securing media attendance.
BusinessWeek was very pleased with the calibre of speakers that Burson-Marsteller brought to the agenda including Cadbury, Hitachi, London Business School, Alcatel-Lucent, Thames Water, Atomico and the keynote speaker Stephen Green, HSBC along with many others. In addition, the team secured media attendance from Associated Press, Reuters, Dow Jones, Bloomberg TV, La Tribune and SC Magazine among others.
Additionally the team was also responsible for developing and implementing a digital strategy to build a buzz around the event by driving viewer traffic towards BusinessWeek ELF’s first ever live web stream of the keynote speeches and panel debates through Twitter campaigns, and attracting new sign-ups to their group on LinkedIn.
Having worked in partnership with the European Leadership Forum in the past, the team was successful in building on past achievements by increasing the volume and reach of publicity around the event.
A big thanks to the core team who worked so hard to make it a success and to many others for their support in advance of and on the day of the event.
