Markets and practices involved

Public Affairs, Digital and healtcare practice in Switzerland are involved in the project.

Brief

Swiss Pharmaceutical and chemical companies don’t find enough young talent with a natural sciences related education. Our client SGCI asked us to develop a long term strategy to tackle this issue.

Strategy & Implementation

After an intense initial research and analysis phase, B-M developed a strategy aimed at kids between 12 and 16. It is right at this school level, when they have to deal with physics, chemistry and biology intensely. And it is their experience with natural sciences during that period that has a great impact on what educational decisions they will take on their later path to work life.

B-M developed www.simplyscience.ch, a website covering natural sciences in a fresh, new and fun way. The site features interesting stories that show relevance of science in our daily life, dossiers with background articles, fun competitions, school work oriented forums, qualifying tests, as well as realtime online help by students among other things. The platform is being marketed at educational events, through social media marketing, advertising, collaborations with likeminded websites and organizations  as well as advertising.

Results

After 2 and a half years www.simplyscience.ch is well established among the target audience in Switzerland. It has a sustainably growing traffic and direct interaction level.  Based on the big amount of unique content the site features – we regularly receive collaboration requests from longstanding media players and organizations.
